BACTA Parliamentary Reception

Last night BACTA held a  reception for their nominated charity partner Rays of Sunshine in the Terrace Pavilion, House of Commons. John Whittingdale OBE MP kindly sponsored the event which was well attended by MPs, industry stakeholders, including Philip Graf, Chairman of the Gambling Commission, BACTA members, Rays of Sunshine wish families and staff.

Rays of Sunshine were launched in 2003 and their mission is to help children between the ages of 3 – 18 who are living with serious and life-threatening illnesses in the UK.  They do this by the granting of wishes, organising large scale events, providing children with specialist equipment and this year they launched hospital ward wishes.  They are constantly supported by their celebrity ambassadors including Simon Cowell, JLS, Gordon Ramsay, Leona Lewis and One Direction.

The BACTA Parliamentary Reception is an opportunity for parliamentarians to recognise and support the vital role that Rays of Sunshine provide to ill children and their families.  The event was generously supported by PwC
