Pure Novelty: Dan Perkins to produce amusement machines

Dan Perkins, of PMT Sales, has set up a new company to produce amusement games and has signed a landmark design and distribution agreement with Labman Automation for their manufacture.

Dan, who has worked with some of the world’s leading amusement machine manufacturers – such as Konami, LAI Games and UNIS – in his years as a distributor, believes he has built up valuable experience to bring to designing his own machines for the new company Pure Novelty Ltd.

“I am very excited about the move to producing our own machines for worldwide sale,” he says. “Distribution has changed massively and I felt it made sense to use our experience of marketing and distributing some of the world’s most successful games, such as Stacker, Dancing Stage and Van Gogh Workroom, into designing machines that will make great money for our customers.”

Pure Novelty has signed a five-year exclusive design and distribution agreement with manufacturing specialist Labman Automation Ltd. to create a range of amusement machines with a difference.

“I believe every game we produce should have the ‘wow!’ factor and should have a minimum life-span of four years,” says Dan. “Our first product will be launched next month and has the endorsement of a world-leading brand. We will then take four new machines to IAAPA in Orlando.”

Commenting on the agreement on behalf of Labman Automation, Chief Officer Andrew Whitwell (pictured) says: “When Dan brought his ideas to us for his new range of games we were blown away with the sales possibilities for these products. Having manufactured products for world leaders in laboratory systems namely Proctor and Gamble and Unilever, it was a new venture outside our core business.

“Surprisingly though, due to our core model it was a project we were very keen to get involved with. Dan’s contacts along with similar work ethics to ours made the agreement a easy one to sign. We will use our 36 highly skilled engineers to ensure our customers have unique, novel and technically sound products to invest in.”

“Many in the industry will know I have had a tough five years, and I would like to thank those who have supported me through this transitional period,” says Dan. “We will now be looking for international distributors for the products, so if you would like to find out more please contact: dan@purenovelty.co.uk”
