Games Warehouse signs new Endemol deal

Market leading SWP provider Games Warehouse has entered into a new partnership agreement with Endemol Games UK to develop high quality skill-based content for licensing to pay-to-play games terminals. This suite of games will be based upon Endemol’s portfolio of iconic television game show brands including Deal or No Deal and Pointless.

This agreement follows the highly successful site testing of the new Deal or No Deal: No Questions SWP game, shortly to be rolled out across the entire Paragon UK estate of around 10,000 terminals. Further new games based upon Endemol brands will follow, the first of which will be an SWP treatment of the smash hit early evening television quiz show Pointless. These games will initially be distributed exclusively to Games Warehouse’s platforms.

Andy Powell, Managing Director of Games Warehouse, commented: “We have long considered Endemol to be the ‘Anchor Tenant’ within our branded games catalogue. Over the past decade, they have proved themselves to be a consistently creative producer of unrivalled television programming and no other brand owner has made a more positive impact upon the coin-op sector. This is an exciting meeting of minds and we are excited about what lies ahead.”

Business Development Manager Nick Hardy added: “In these challenging times, it is essential that we do all we can to invigorate and broaden the appeal of our product. To establish such a unique partnership with a creator of such premium titles is a bold and positive step in the battle to support our network of operators, and such partners do not come better than Endemol, a team that repeatedly proves it has its finger firmly on the pulse of the consumer by consistently hitting the spot with success after success. This outstanding partnership agreement further underlines our commitment to the resurgence and future potential of the SWP sector.”
