Goulden leaves Gala Coral

Gala Coral has announced a new Chief Executive – Carl Leaver (pictured) who was formerly at Marks & Spencer will replace Neil Goulden. Leaver will be joined by Debenhams Chief executive Rob Templeman who will become non-executive chairman.

This is the latest change at Gala Coral which was bought in  January by a consortium of private equity groups which finished restructuring Gala’s £2.5 billion debt over the summer — a deal that saw the new owners put £200 million of cash into the business.

The company  has 1,600 licensed betting offices, 144 bingo clubs, 27 casinos, and two Greyhound stadia.
