IOA signs student deal

The IOA Group, the UK’s largest independent machine operator, has signed a two year supply agreement with UNITE, the UK’s leading developer and manager of student accommodation. UNITE provides a home for 40,000 students in 24 university cities and quality leisure and gaming machines form part of its customer offer. The IOA Group’s contract win followed a competitive tender process.

Commenting on the contract win, the IOA Group’s National Sales Executive, Ken Mullarkey said: “This represents a prestigious account which we are delighted to have secured.  UNITE operates in 24 university cities and it was obviously extremely important that we were able to provide blanket national coverage courtesy of our 26 regional depots, the highest number of any UK machine operator.

“Following the contract agreement we have been working extremely closely with UNITE to ensure that local management were fully engaged in the installation process and that each venue received a machine offer to suit the specific characteristics of their location.”

Emma Hamilton, Business Development Coordinator for UNITE, said: “We are delighted to be working with the IOA group and are looking forward to enhancing the amenities we provide for our students.”

The IOA Group has confirmed that it will be making further major contract announcements in the ensuing weeks.
