Seven coin-op companies join EAS

Seven of the UK’s leading manufacturers and distributors of coin-op games are currently gearing-up for their debut at the Euro Attractions Show to be held at London’s Olympia on 27th- 29th September 2011.

AMG Leisure, Bandai Namco Europe, Crown Direct, Electrocoin, Embed Playsafe, Harry Levy Amusements and Sega Amusements collectively approached EAG International organiser Swan Events to secure space on their behalf. Some felt that there was a need for a networking event to gain customer feedback prior to product launches at EAG in January 2012, whilst others were seeking to increase their presence throughout the attractions sector

In a ground-breaking move, Swan Events has secured an area in the show’s National Hall. In addition to enjoying its own visitor lounge, the coin-op area will be adjacent to the National Hall street entrance, a real bonus for those visitors intending to head straight for this sector of the show.

The location and timing of IAAPA’s EAS show fit the bill perfectly. The coin-op pioneers will be joining over 275 exhibitors representing every sector of the attractions industry.

John Brennan, Commercial Director at Bandai Namco is enthusiastic about the opportunity: “EAS provides a platform to display current games along with products that will become available in the coming months.

“Combining the amusements and parks industries provides a unique opportunity to showcase new products and obtain feedback that will prove invaluable moving into 2012,” he predicted.

The new coin-op zone promises to be a vibrant area, packed with the latest games and technology destined to make their mark on the show.

Electrocoin’s Kevin Weir has chosen EAS to promote Gamewax’s Go Go Grand Prix, an exciting four player slot car game: “There was a great reaction to Go Go Grand Prix at the recent Park Avenue event and we’ve already completely sold the first shipment. EAS has a track record of attracting the industry’s decision makers and we’re very much looking forward to meeting them.”

Mark Sowray, Director of AMG Leisure confirmed that the company would also be exhibiting new products: “We view exhibitions as launch pads for new games and will be showing some exciting new developments for the FEC and AGC markets,” he revealed.

For Embed Playsafe the parks and attractions sector is very much home territory. Managing Director David Stenning and his team will be demonstrating their iconic data capture and machine monitoring systems, already widely accepted throughout the industry.

Swan Events failed to mention UDC Ltd, who were amongst the first to register for the EAS directly with IAAPA months before this announcement. We will be there on stand 1624.
