Sega EAG Success


Sega Amusements are ecstatic after  the 4th EAG show, reporting their best show yet at the London Excel venue. With the largest booth at the venue the industry giant had plenty of hot proven product to be proud of. Amongst their product they have the industries number one driver in GRID, number one prize merchandiser in Key Master, number one video redemption in Doodle Jump, the unique SuperBooth and a whole other remit of world class product.

Commenting a week after the show Sega’s Justin Burke offered “The strength of the show brought the visitors in and the strength of our product reputation brought them to our stand. Clearly there were many obstacles that were potential concerns for exhibitors and the show organisers such as MGD for the UK trade and then the weather the weekend prior, but in testament to the operators and customers who are serious about their business they came and they came in good numbers from all regions of the international market”.

Licensed brands were clearly a strong pull this year as the Sega booth represented titles from the world off ‘Apps’ in the form of Cut the Rope prize merchandiser and Doodle Jump video redemption, two new product from world leaders ICE, plus Hello Kitty merchandise and of course Sonic the Hedgehog branded plush and amusement sports games.

The company also had its merchandise and spares divisions present with Sega Prize Europe launching its latest edition to the now popular ‘Tokio’ electronics range with a £50 smartphone; Sega Total Solutions who promoted themselves clearly as “more than just spares…” said their new redemption ticket was received with massive success and tied down many major international companies impressed with the price and quality of the Sega ticket.

Never one to be put on an average show Sega this year had a colourful ‘chill out’ area to highlight the launch of the global hit Key master in ‘Color’; and if that wasn’t enough they had International Man of Mystery Austin Powers on hand to usher visitors into the SuperBooth, one could only describe it as ‘groovy baby’!

Burke summarised “the EAG has earned its place on the international stage no doubt, the venue is first class for visitors and exhibitors, and with an increasingly diverse mix on offer especially with the introduction of BALPPA members from the parks & attractions world, for those who don’t travel the world to other shows they can see it at EAG London”.
