Innovative Leisure unveils trailblazing LIW range

Interactive family attractions specialist Innovative Leisure will once again be one of the key exhibitors at this year’s Leisure Industry Week (LIW) exhibition at the NEC in September, where the company’s display will be the central feature of the Play & Attractions section of the show.

Among the products being shown by the Leicester based company will be a fully operational SkyTrail High Ropes course, in addition to a Climbing Wall and, for the first time at the show, a Mobile Zip Line, all on the company’s indoor stand space. In the outdoor section of the event, Innovative Leisure will once again be operating an example of its Water Wars water balloon game.

The products on display will be just some of those that make up the company’s growing range of high energy, physically challenging family attractions. Offering fun and excitement for participants and great entertainment for spectators, all the products on offer continue to prove popular throughout the UK and Europe with operators of a wide range of leisure and attraction venues, as well as mobile operators and event organisers.

The company’s central exhibit on the show floor, the Sky Trail High Ropes course, will be located adjacent to the association lounge and education theatres and will be a larger format to the one on show at last year’s LIW. Its presence will reinforce the exceptionally strong sales of the attraction since its introduction to the UK and European market, with numerous installations during that time in various sectors, including several for the 2012 season.

Among these have been courses in UK coastal locations such as Clarence Pier and Codona’s Amusement Park, family theme parks such as Tayto Park in Ireland and Sommerland Sjaelland in Denmark and indoor play sector operations such as Adventure Kidz in Kent and Kidzworld at Cornish Market World (CMW), both in the UK. Deeside Leisure Centre also recently opened a high ropes course, while others soon to open include those at the Liverpool One shopping centre on Merseyside and Planters Garden Centre in Staffordshire.

Climbing Walls will also feature strongly on Innovative Leisure’s LIW stand with a fully operational example being available for visitors to try. This year attendees will be able to sample the Grip-A-Rock model, on a galvanized trailer, which features the most realistic climbing surface available. Moulded from real rock, the level of detail and contours on the surface actually allow expert climbers to scale the wall without the need for handholds.

Popular with both static and mobile operators, the company’s range of Climbing Walls and Towers has proved hugely successful over the years and 2012 is no exception, with many more sales during the year. Among these have been those to the Eye Feel Good charity foundation in Northern Ireland, Llŷn Adventures in North Wales and South Ayrshire County Council in Scotland, among others.

In the outdoor section at LIW, Innovative Leisure will showcase its hugely popular Water Wars water balloon game. Among installations during 2012 have been those at Fränkisches Wunderland in Plech, Germany, Jesperhus in Nykøbing Mors, Denmark, and FunPark in Finland, who all purchased Mini Water Wars games. And in the UK, Cornwall’s Crealy Great Adventure Park has added the Water Wars game previously operated at sister venue Devon’s Crealy.
